About ToolFinder
ToolFinder is about helping people figure out what’s needed to do work in a particular profession / trade / craft / etc. Eventually, the goal is for the site to help people determine if the profession or craft is a good fit for them – then tell them what tools they’d need to start work – and provide learning resources and guides to get them going.
We’re aiming to be as open and free for the user as possible. As such, we will likely have some display ads and affiliate links throughout. This is primarily to keep the content free for as many people as possible – as long as possible. We hope our readers understand, but please feel free to provide feedback via our form on user experience related matters or anything else you’d like us to know!

Many More Features!
We have much more content in store for our readers, and hope that much of it comes to fruition. Stay tuned…
Note from the Founder, Mike Maurisak
It has been my hope for years now to share ToolFinder with others.
The idea has been in my head for a while now and have decided to put much more effort into getting this out there for others to see, react, and hopefully enjoy.
A little about me:
I’m a Sales Engineer at an Industrial Manufacturing Facility now, but I started in manufacturing in 2006 as a shop hand and developed an understanding – and appreciation – for crafting.
Outside of my day job, I personally am involved in the following; DIY Woodworking, 3D Printing, Laser Engraving and Cutting, Sewing, Video Gaming, Photography and other crafts.
It’s my hope that people get what they need from the site, and invite you to use the contact form to reach out with anything you’d like to see or want us to know!
